Using this website
You may use this website for your own personal, educational or organisational purposes. You agree not to:
- use the site in any way that breaks any applicable law or regulation
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, or any connected system
- introduce viruses or any other material that is malicious or technologically harmful

Intellectual property
All content on this website, including the text, the name The Woo Cycle, the Woo character, and every illustration, is owned by Period Reality or its contributors and is protected by copyright.
The illustrations were hand drawn by Maia Moore and may not be copied, reproduced, adapted or used for any purpose without our written permission.
You may share links to our pages and quote short extracts with clear attribution. Schools, libraries and community organisations wishing to use our material for teaching should contact us at thewoocycle@periodreality.org, and we will usually be delighted to help.
Buying the book
We do not sell the book directly through this website. Links to buy The Woo Cycle take you to third-party retailers such as Amazon, or to booksellers and distributors including Gardner and Ingram.
Any purchase you make is a contract between you and that retailer, governed by their terms, pricing, delivery and returns policies. We are not a party to it and cannot process refunds or returns on their behalf.
Donations and sponsorship
Donations made through our fundraising pages are processed by FundRazr, subject to their terms and privacy policy. We are not able to access your full payment details.
Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe you have made a donation in error, please contact us at hello@periodreality.org as soon as possible and we will do our best to help.
Where you sponsor books for schools or communities, we will use your contribution for that purpose or, if that is not practical, for our closely related charitable work.
Content you send us
If you send us reviews, photographs, stories or other material, for example by tagging us on social media or taking part in a case study, you confirm that it is yours to share and that you have the permission of anyone appearing in it.
Where you have given consent, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to reproduce that material in our communications and reports. You can ask us to stop using it at any time by contacting hello@periodreality.org.
Please do not send us confidential information through this website.
Links to other websites
Our site links to websites operated by partners, retailers and other organisations. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link does not imply that we endorse everything on the linked site.
Our responsibility to you
The Woo Cycle is a children's picture book intended to support conversations about bodies and the menstrual cycle. It is created with menstrual health expertise, but it is not medical advice. If you have concerns about your own or your child's health, please speak to a qualified healthcare professional.
We provide this website and its content in good faith. To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for any loss arising from your use of the site.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under English law. These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
